Well I have finally done it. Created a facebook page for my crocheting and sewing. The name is Grammie Bee's the name has been inspired from my youngest grandchild. Gradually I will get the blogspot, pinterest and my etsy account all linked together but I have yet to figure this out. Being busy with an illness that can creat havoc in my life things happen gradually. Today is a cooking day the RA has allowed me this afternoon to create a nice dinner for my honey. Bean, crockpot fried red potatos, corn bread muffins, and blackberry chocolate cake for desert. He is working long shift today therefore it's always nice to have something done for him for dinner. We eat no meat anymore as it is thought to create problems with my RA. The cake is just something special just because we have been so good about no sweets. Chocolate is propably a downfall for my RA I will find out as I have been sampling my creation. Fruits and lots of vegetables, oatmeal and smoked salmon have been my primary food sources. I am not a huge fan of breakfast and can actually go without eating somedays. I know this is not healthy but it just happens. So the fruit we have been enjoying is the seasonal fruits. Grapefruit, Oranges, Banannas are the fresh fruits. The blackberries are local that I picked this summer and froze so a little extra special on a rainy Washington day. Beans I like to use as a replacement for proteins that our diet lacks from eating no meat. Also, we eat hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and cottage cheese. So right now I do have dairy in my diet good bad or the ugly I don't know I need to do research regarding guletin and sugars in these foods. Oh and I love carrots, broccoli and eat lots of soybeans and lettuce. If you happen to read this post and have any suggestions regarding foods and RA I am open to hearing from you please comment. Doesn't mean I will immediately try your remendy or diet but I will take your suggestion into thought for my next shopping trip or Dr's visit. I am trying to not blog so much about my illness but right now it seems to be in the present with me. I cannot seem to escape moderate to extreme pain. I have logged my drugs and pain levels for six weeks now looking for some clue what might be a trigger. It's remains a mystery to me. Ok the corn muffins are done I just use a Jiffy mix only pennies at the local market. The creative cake it has fallen just a bit but I have added coffee from the pot instead of water, little bit of olive oil, oats, peanut butter and some blackberrys. The batter tasted just fantastic. The icing is in the freezer as it need a little chill with the added blackberrys. Yes icing, it is homemade no measurement. I have this wonderful Kitchen Aid mixer that my oldest daughter Tabitha's family got me for Christmas a couple years ago and I started using it last year and it is just a delightful item to have in the Kitchen I love it. So the beans are simmering and now I just have about four more hours and my honey will be home. With the RA I usually am exhausted in the evenings so I kinda like to get things done when my flaring and pain is at its lowest point during the day. Just about time to exit and say good day though because my legs and hips can't sit anymore. Tootles for now might see ya again later today. God Bless and be with you .
